ORIGINALLY A SURF BAND CALLED “THE SUNSETS”, TAMAM SHUD CAME INTO BEING IN EARLY 1968 AS A RESULT OF THE FRUSTRATIONS EXPERIENCED BY THE GROUP MEMBERS OVER CERTAIN BOOKING AGENTS INDIFFERENCE TO THEM. THE BAND’S EXPOSURE TO THE NEW MUSIC EMANATING FROM (PARTICULARLY) AMERICA PROVIDED A BROADER BASE ON WHICH TO EXPAND. THEIR CHANGE IN STYLE SAW THE GROUP PROVIDING THE SOUNDTRACK FOR PAUL WITZIG’S SURFING FEATURE TITLED “EVOLUTION”. IN THE PERIOD 1968-1972 THE GROUP OBTAINED A MASSIVE CULT FOLLOWING WHICH RESULTED IN SEVERAL ALBUMS. WHILST THE AUDIO IS NOT OPTIMUM THIS RECORDING IS VERY LISTENABLE. JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND TAKE A TRIP BACK IN TIME TO THE DAYS OF FLOWER POWER AND AN EVOLUTION IN THE DIRECTION OF POP MUSIC. COMES WITH A 16 PAGE BOOKLET FULL OF LINER NOTES AND PHOTOS. VERY GOOD!!!!!

TRACK LISTING: I Turned Around To Find My Father Gone / Midnight, Soft Light / What A Day It Is, What A Night It Was / A Letter / Sittin’ In The Sun / Sprung / Bali Waters / Bow Wow / Directly From My Heart To You / The Air’s So Thick I Lost My Home / The Young Girl Wastes Her Time / The Morning Song / A Book Among Magazines / The Afternoon Song / I’ll Be Gone.
