REVIEW: The Collins Kids, Lorrie and Larry, may have had no hits, but they were among the brightest stars in early rock’n’roll. We’ve heard so much about how great they were on the old “Town Hall Party” shows, but, now there’s finally a chance for us all to see just how great they really were. This DVD really sets the record straight. Here, they’re mostly playing other people’s hits, blues hits and pop classics, but they’re never outclassed by the originals. The Collins Kids made many appearances on the “Town Hall Party” show and this DVD encapsules only some of those performances. Volumes 2 and 3 of The Collins Kids At Town Hall Party” will include the remainder of those performances.
