REVIEW: Blood Sweat & Tears was an American Jazz/Rock group originally formed in 1967. They are noted for the combination of brass and rock band instrumentation. Since the beginnings, the band has gone through numerous iterations with varying personnel and has encompassed a multitude of musical styles. The group’s best known lead singer was David Clayton-Thomas although he was not a member of the original line-up having joined in the group in 1968. This concert was filmed at the Civic Theatre, Halifax, England sometime after 1980 although the date is not indicated. It should be noted that it would appear that the DVD was most probably transferred from an original video tape as there is some slight jumping at the start of the DVD and a little flaring in some parts of the vision generally associated with transfer from video tape, however, audio quality is quite good. A must for BS&T fans.
