1985, PRELIMINARY FINAL – BULLDOGS 26-0 EELS. After a tight first half “The Entertainers” show no mercy to their Premiership rivals Parramatta Eels in the second half, on their way to a second consecutive Grand Final and their third Premiership in six years.
1988, MAJOR SEMI-FINAL – BULLDOGS 26-8 SHARKS. The Bulldogs again state their Premiership credentials with 26-8 demolition of Minor Premiers the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and advance to the Grand Final where they hoist their fourth Premiership trophy of the decade.
1998, PRELIMINARY FINAL – BULLDOGS 32-20 EELS. After scraping into the finals, the Bulldogs become the masters of sudden-death finals footy, winning four straight elimination games, including this miraculous comeback from 18-2 down against the Eels.
2004, PRELIMINARY FINAL – BULLDOGS 30-14 PANTHERS. After losing to the Cowboys in Week 1 of the finals, the Bulldogs recover and set up a tough encounter with last year year’s Premiers Penrith, with the winner to face Minor Premiers the Roosters in the decider.
2012, PRELIMINARY FINAL – BULLDOGS 32-8 RABBITOHS. Rejuvenated under new coach Des Hasler, the Bulldogs meet a fired-up Rabbitohs in a mouth-watering Preliminary Final. After a tight early tussle, the Dogs of War are let off the leash as they run out 32-8 winners.
