MENTION THE SONG "INDIAN LOVE CALL" AND IMMEDIATELY SLIM WHITMAN COMES TO MIND. THE VOICE OF SLIM WHITMAN IS ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED VOICES IN COUNTRY MUSIC AND POP MUSIC IN GENERAL FOR THAT MATTER. THE SONG (FIRST PUBLISHED AS "THE CALL") CAME OUT OF THE 1924 OPERETTA-STYLE BROADWAY MUSICAL TITLED "ROSE-MARIE". LATER IT WAS SUNG BY NELSON EDDY AND JEANETTE MacDONALD IN THE 1936 MOVIE VERSION OF "ROSE-MARIE" BECOMING THEIR SIGNATURE SONG FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. SLIM WHITMAN RECORDED HIS VERSION IN 1952 AS HIS SECOND SINGLE. THE SONG PEAKED AT NUMBER 2 ON THE COUNTRY CHARTS, CROSSING OVER INTO THE POP MUSIC TOP TEN AND MADE SLIM A STAR.
THIS IMPERIAL FOUR TRACK EXTENDED PLAY WAS RELEASED IN THE EARLY 1960s. THE SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH VERY LITTLE WEAR ON THE COVER AND ONLY MINOR WEAR ON THE REAR. THE RECORD IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
TRACK LISTING: Side 1 - Indian Love Call / Rose Marie. Side 2 - Cattle Call / Keep It A Secret.
