TERRY STAFFORD WAS BORN IN HOLLIS, OKLAHOMA BUT MOVED TO AMARILLO WITH HIS FAMILY AT THE AGE OF SEVEN. AMARILLO WAS WHERE HE GOT HIS START IN MUSIC SINGING WITH A ROCKABILLY GROUP PERFORMING MAINLY AT SCHOOL DANCES AND ASSEMBLIES VOICING PRIMARILY THE WORKS OF HIS IDOLS, BUDDY HOLLY AND ELVIS PRESLEY. HE LATER MOVED TO CALIFORNIA TO PURSUE A MUSICAL CAREER WHERE HE WAS HEARD BY JOHN FISHER AND LES WORDEN, THE TWO MEN WHO WERE TO MAKE TERRY KNOWN THROUGH HIS RECORDING OF "SUSPICION". SO MUCH BELIEF DID THESE TWO MEN HAVE IN TERRY THAT THEY STARTED A RECORD COMPANY TO RELEASE HIS RECORDS.

ORIGINALLY CUT AS A DEMO, TERRY'S VERSION OF THE ELVIS PRESLEY SONG "SUSPICION" WAS RELEASED ON THE CRUSADER RECORD LABEL AND MADE IT TO NO. 3 IN THE U.S. AND NO. 31 ON THE UK SINGLES CHARTS. ELVIS'S VERSION WAS NEVER RELEASED AS A SINGLE BUT TERRY SOUNDED SO MUCH LIKE ELVIS THAT MANY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS ELVIS SINGING UNDER A PSEUDONYM. THE RECORD SOLD OVER A MILLION COPIES AND WAS AWARDED A GOLD RECORD BY THE RIAA. HIS FOLLOW-UP "I'LL TOUCH A STAR" ROSE TO NUMBER 25 IN THE U.S.

THIS ALBUM IS AN ORIGINAL U.S. RELEASE FROM 1964 AND CONTAINS BOTH OF THE AFOREMENTIONED HITS ALONG WITH 12 OTHER GREAT TRACKS AND REFLECTS THE SOUND OF THE ERA. THE SLEEVE IS IN VERY, VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH VERY LITTLE SIGNS OF WEAR, HOWEVER, THERE ARE SEVERAL RED MARKINGS BESIDE THE TRACK LISTING ON THE REAR OF THE SLEEVE WHERE SOMEONE HAS MARKED PROBABLY AS FAVOURITES I GUESS (EVIDENT IN THE SCAN). THE RECORD IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITON.

TRACK LISTING: Side - Suspicion / Margarita / Playing With Fire / Invitation To A Kiss / Slowly But Surely / For You My Love / Try My World Little Girl / Judy. Side 2 - She Wishes I Were You / Pocket Full Of Rainbows / Everything I Need / I'll Touch A Star / Everybody Has Somebody / Kiss Me Quick / Are You A Fool Like Me / Follow The Rainbow.
