REVIEW: Kenny Loggins is probably remembered best for his massive hits “Footloose” and “Danger Zone” as well as his pairing with Jim Messina as Loggins and Messina although his songwriting credits go way back farther than that when a number of his songs were recorded by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This concert was recorded at the Shakespeare Festival Glen an outdoor venue situated on the campus of the University Of California, Santa Cruz, a magnificent setting surrounded by massive Redwoods, in 1993. In this concert we see a different Kenny Loggins for the most part far removed from the “Footloose” and “Danger Zone” days although “Footloose” is featured in the concert. On stage Kenny is joined by Michael McDonald, Will Ackerman and Shanice. Sit back and enjoy this superb concert in the fabulous venue and don’t forget to bring a picnic basket. Brilliant *****
