THE BIG HOWDY RECORDING COMPANY WAS ANOTHER COMPANY TO ARISE OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF MUSIC EMINATING OUT OF THE TRI-STATE AREA OF THE US. BIG HOWDY, BASED IN BAGALUSA, LOUISIANA WAS FORMED BY HASTEL KENNEDY WHO ARRIVED IN NEW ORLEANS IN THE 1930s AND PLUNGED INTO THE LOCAL SCENE PLAYING AND SINGING WITH LOCAL BANDS. HE LATER BEGAN TO ENJOY THE EMERGING COUNTRY MUSIC SO MUCH SO THAT HE DECIDED TO START HIS OWN LABEL, “BIG HOWDY RECORDS” AND THE RESULT OF HIS EFFORTS ARE INCLUDED HERE WITH JUST SOME OF THE RELEASES ON BIG HOWDY RECORDS. GREAT ****
