REVIEW: Format not unlike the rock’n’roll movies of the '50s. An inept Promoter’s Assistant is sent to Nashville to hire talent for a Country Jamboree. Under the guidance of Marty Robbins and Connie Smith he tours the recording studios of Nashville hiring talent as he goes. One thing which stands out as the movie progresses is that country music artists are far better singers than actors. Having said that there is some great country music right throughout the movie. Some of the artists you may never have seen footage of before and then there are some totally unknowns here in Australia except to diehard country music fans.
